NBA Play-In: Miami Heat (46-36) at Philadelphia 76ers (47-35)

It’s Wednesday, April 17th and this is our free NBA prediction for the Heat vs. 76ers Play-In matchup. 

The game is in Philly and tips-off at 7:00 PM Eastern.

So let’s break this one down…

The 7th place Sixers and 8th place Heat will go head-to-head to determine the 7-seed in the East. 

The winner will advance to the playoffs, where they’ll face the 2-seed New York Knicks, while the loser will play the winner of the Bulls vs. Hawks matchup. 

Entering Wednesday’s play-in game, the Heat vs. 76ers odds have Miami as underdogs priced at +164, and the Sixers as favorites priced at -198. 

The Heat and Sixers are separated by just one game, but Philly has a huge advantage; Joel Embiid is back. 

The Sixers were mediocre at best without Embiid, but since the reigning MVP’s return Philadelphia is undefeated, posting 8 straight wins. 

The Sixers have all the momentum, and with Joel Embiid back on the floor, Philly could go far this postseason.
