Spurs Could Keep Up With Milwaukee
The 24-9 Milwaukee Bucks will take on the struggling 5-28 San Antonio Spurs tomorrow night. It will be the second matchup of the season between Milwaukee and San Antonio. The Bucks won the first game 132-119 over the Spurs, and tomorrow’s matchup is destined to be another one-sided affair in favor of Milwaukee. The Bucks are the No. 2 team in the East, averaging 124.6 points, while the Spurs are last in the West, averaging 122.8 points against.
The Spurs, with a win-rate of just 15.2%, are too high of a risk. However, while San Antonio chances to win are understandably low, I’m taking the Spurs to cover the spread. The last time Milwaukee played the Spurs, the spread was a massive 16.5 points. The Spurs lost by 13. The Bucks are not great against the spread, posting a 15-18 record ATS, mostly because of poor defense.
The Bucks can put up huge numbers offensively, but defensively they’re giving up nearly 120 points per game. Moreover, the Bucks won’t have any rest before facing San Antonio, while the Spurs will have fresh legs. Again, San Antonio’s chances to win are negligible, but this matchup could be closer than anticipated.
So for our Bucks vs. Spurs expert pick, take the San Antonio Spurs to Cover on Thursday.
