Colorado Buffaloes on a Hot-Streak

The Arizona Wildcats will take on the Colorado Buffaloes in each team’s third conference game of the young season. Arizona is 10-3 overall, and are the highest ranked team in the Pac-12, while Colorado is unranked at 11-2. The Wildcats will undoubtedly be favored to win this game, but after losing 82-100 to the 7-6 Stanford Cardinal in their last game, Arizona may not be the college basketball powerhouse we are used to seeing.  

I’m going with Colorado to cover the spread. The Buffaloes are on a 6-game winning streak, and while they will be hard pressed to beat Arizona on the road, Colorado will keep it close. The Wildcats average more points per game (92.3) than the Buffaloes (84.2), but Colorado has a better defense (68.8 points against) than Arizona (73.4 points against). Arizona’s size and strength will be a massive advantage, but Colorado’s quickness and defensive intensity will make for a thrilling contest. The Wildcats may be the favorites, but don’t be shocked if the Buffaloes give them trouble.
