The Mariners are riding high right now. They were down 8-1 in game two of the Wild Card to the Blue Jays and they came back and won the game 10-9 to clinch the series. This was the first time they had made the postseason in 21 years.

The Astros were quietly dominant all year. Most were focused on the 111 win Dodgers but the Astros finished just five games back of them. The Astros ranked eighth in runs scored this year and their pitching was second in ERA behind only the Dodgers.
