The Ole Miss Rebels head into this game with a record of 5-0 on the season. They also have a conference record of 1-0 as they had a massive win at home last week against the Kentucky Wildcats. They won that game by a final score of 22-19. Heading into that game, the Rebels were ranked 14th and the Wildcats were ranked 7th. Now Ole Miss is ranked 9th. In the game against the Wildcats, quarterback Jaxson Dart led the Rebels in passing yards with 213. He did however throw an interception but that turnover didn’t lead to a scoring opportunity for Kentucky. Wide receiver Malik Heath was Dart’s favorite target as he caught 6 passes for 100 yards. Running back Quinshon Judkins had a solid performance in the game as he rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown. The Rebels defense had a strong outing as they forced two fumbles. Ole Miss returns home next week for their game against Auburn. In this game against the Commodores, expect the Rebels to defend their undefeated season.

The Vanderbilt Commodores head into this game with a record of 3-2 on the season. They also have a conference record of 0-1 as they lost last week to the Alabama Crimson Tide on the road by a final score of 55-3. Unfair to judge how they played in that game as they played the #1 team in the country. The week before Alabama, they played the Northern Illinois Huskies on the road and won by a final score of 38-28. Quarterback AJ Swann balled out as he threw for 255 yards and 4 touchdowns. He connected with wide receiver Will Sheppard for 10 receptions for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. When the Commodores are able to get rolling, they are a solid team. Now against the #9 ranked team, it will be interesting to see how they match up.

This game will be dominated by the Rebels and they have a good chance to extend their winning streak to four games. Ole Miss is talented and they have been playing great football as of late and can creep into college football playoff talk if they remain undefeated. Unfortunately for Vanderbilt, they are coming off of a game where they lost by 52 and now have to play a team that is one of the better teams in the country.
