Low Scorer

The Wyoming Cowboys (1-1 conf.) put an end to their three-game winning streak in Week 4, suffering a 38-24 defeat as 21-point road dogs at the No. 19 BYU Cougars. Last Saturday, they hosted the San Jose State Spartans as slim 2.5-point underdogs and lost 33-16. The Cowboys racked up just 253 total yards against the Spartans’ stout defense while surrendering 456 in a return. Junior QB Andrew Peasley completed just six of his 20 passing attempts for 85 yards and a couple of touchdowns last weekend. He also had seven carries for 74 yards and one interception. Junior RB Titus Swen toted the pigskin 17 times for 61 yards, while junior wideout Wyatt Wieland posted two receptions for 44 yards and a TD.

The Cowboys rely on their rushing game, averaging 4.3 yards per carry and 153.5 per game. Andrew Peasley, a transfer from Utah State, has only thrown for 831 yards, seven touchdowns, and three interceptions so far this season. On the other side of the ball, the Cowboys are allowing 260.2 passing yards and 139.2 rushing yards per game.
