New Orleans Bowl battle

Jacksonville State had a pretty solid season finishing 8-4 and 3rd in the Conference USA. The Gamecocks are looking to make history and win the programs first bowl game ever. Their offense has been solid averaging almost 30 points a game and just under 400 yards per game. They are also strong defensively giving up just 20.3 points per game.

Louisiana barely made a bowl going 6-6 on the year and 10th in the Sun Belt conference. They snapped their 3 game losing streak last week to make themselves bowl eligible. They’ve played in 6 straight bowl games. The offense has been great this year averaging over 32 points per game and over 400 yards per game. Louisiana defense has been their biggest weak point this year allowing over 28 points per game.

Take Jacksonville State in this one. Both these offenses are pretty comparable but Jacksonville State has a much better defense.
