Ok, let’s get to our Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers expert picks.

At the start of the season this game could have been looked at as a Super Bowl preview as both teams were among the favorites to win their respective conferences.

Thus far, Tom Brady and the Bucs have held up their end of the bargain, going 9-3 to start the season, but things haven’t gone quite as smooth for the Bills, who have lost two of their last three games and three of their last five, to fall to 7-5 overall and out of first place in the AFC East.

The problem for the Bills has been their defense when facing quality opponents. Overall, the numbers look good for the Buffalo defense, but against winning teams, the Bills are just 1-3 this season and they have been especially susceptible against the run.

Making matters worse, two weeks ago the Bills lost defensive back Tre’Davious White for the rest of the season to an injury and he was probably their best defensive player.

All of this does not bode well today as the team heads to Tampa Bay to face the Bucs on a field where they have been virtually unstoppable. In five home games this season, Tampa Bay is averaging 38.4 points per game. In fact, since their bye week last season, the Bucs have played 8 games in their home stadium and have averaged 36.6 points per game, with the least amount of points scored being 26.

With the Bills struggling to stop power running games, we expect Tampa Bay’s bulldozing running back Leonard Fournette to have plenty of running room and that will not only lead to big gains on early downs, but it will allow Tom Brady to really use the play action effectively and find some deep balls against the Bills secondary that will struggle without White back there. This is also a cold weather team traveling to the heat and humidity of Florida on a short week, so the defense could really wear down in the second half of a game that is expected to be fast-paced and high scoring.

Put it all together and instead of playing the Buccaneers vs Bills Spread we think the best value on the board is to go over the Tampa Bay team total of 28.5 points.
