Ok, let’s get to this Cincinnati vs Notre Dame football game.
This is a game that pits two top-10 teams against each other that are both undefeated as No. 7 Cincinnati comes to South Bend to face No. 9 Notre Dame.
Last week, Notre Dame beat then-No. 18 Wisconsin in Chicago to climb three spots in the rankings while Cinci is 3-0, comes in off a bye week and is trying to become the first non-Power 5 team to make the College Football Playoffs.
While we have been impressed with what head coach Luke Fickell has done with the Bearcats program, this is probably the biggest game in school history for Cincinnati and we’re not quite sure they are ready for the challenge. While they are undefeated, the Bearcats have not been impressive against a subpar schedule. After routing cupcakes like Miami-Ohio and Murray State, Cinci was trailing Indiana 14-0 and by two points in the fourth quarter before staging a late rally.
Meanwhile, for Notre Dame, this is just another big, national television game against a ranked opponent. This is normal for the Irish and these players won’t be bothered by the spotlight because they are used to it.
