Raiders vs. 49ers | NFL Picks (Sunday)

It’s time for some Sunday night football between the Las Vegas Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers. The Raiders come in at 2-0 with wins over the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. From what we can tell, the Raiders are getting a strong start to their season and the offense looks great. This Sunday, they’ll take on the 1-1 San Francisco 49ers.

The San Francisco 49ers have split the first two games, but look to close the preseason with a win. The offense hasn’t looked great so far, however, the defense has been great. San Francisco has held both of their opponents under 20 points in the preseason. They’ll have to rely heavily on defense when they face the Raiders. Per BetOnline, the 49ers are -5 with the over/under at 35.5.

Raiders Plan To End The Preseason Undefeated

The Raiders have started their season off without a hitch. The offense at all three levels looks strong. The defense has held up well when needed, and after two games look like a great overall team. They’ve got a test in front of them in the San Francisco 49ers, especially with Trey Lance at quarterback. Lance is just the backup QB but went 8-14, 102 YDS, and 2 TDs. The Las Vegas Raiders will have to find a way to slow down Lance.

When taking a look at the trends a few things stick out, mainly the Raiders 2-6 record against the spread. They are 0-7 when playing San Francisco at home as well, be sure to keep that in mind when making your pick. Both teams have a ton of injuries on both sides of the ball so expect the Raiders to be down players.

Expect More Trey Lance On Sunday

We can expect to get a full dose of Trey Lance on Sunday. Lance is looking like a promising rookie but more importantly, a very capable quarterback. He’s led the team to the win they’ve secured and only narrowly lost to the Chiefs in the first game. He’ll definitely get a lot of time on the field to test the Raiders defense.

The San Francisco 49ers have gone 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games, which doesn’t give us much confidence. We have to take into account that per BetOnline the 49ers are -5 here. In their win over the Chargers, the 49ers won by five points. Having to cover the spread by a touchdown could prove tough against the Raiders.

Our Pick For Raiders Vs. 49ers

This is a tough one considering both of these teams have promising rosters. What it boils down to is who’s going to score the last touchdown of the game. When taking that into consideration, we have to lean toward the team that has a deeper offense. This leaves us with one option, the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers have tons of depth on offense and a defense that seems capable of stopping even the best opponents. They showed a lot of talent against the Chargers and barely lost their game against the Chiefs. We’ll take Trey Lance and the 49ers here.

OSB Official Pick: San Francisco 49ers -5 (at BetOnline) . To get daily game analysis visit our blog, sign up for our free picks and follow us on instagram and youtube. Current odds brought to you by BetOnline

Utah VS San Jose
Detroit was expected to be amongst the worst teams in baseball at the All-Star Break. The team is not good, and they will finish below .500. Although, they are in third place in the American League Central. Jonathan Schoop has been the do-all for Detroit as Cruz has been for Minnesota. Schoop is batting .274/.321/.473 with 16 HR and 49 RBI. I credit A.J. Hinch for the team’s surprising competitiveness in 2021. Detroit may have a record well below .500, but they are very competitive. They force opponents to earn wins, and this will translate to pennants in the future as young players become more experienced.
