With the expansion of sports betting in the us we are seeing new people coming into
this market for the first time wanting to bet on sports hands down the nfl football season is the most popular sports in the us for Sports bettors.
Their are many ways you can bet the nfl online but for this video we are going to keep
things real simple I’m going to explain the three most popular ways to bet on nfl games
Kick Off

Point Spread
Lets start with the most popular way to bet on the nfl called the point spreadIf you look at the nfl odds for the tampa bay/dallas game the current odds has tampa a 6 point favorite which means if you bet tampa on the point spread they have to win the game by at least 7 points this includes regular time four quarters and over time
The Push
If tampa wins by 6 it’s called a push and the bet is a wash which means no one wins or loses
On the every hand if you bet Dallas on the point spread plus six points as the underdog the cowboys can not lose the final score by more than six points

Everytime you place a bet on the point spread the sports book will charge a 10% fee called the juice or vig, so if you bet $100 on tampa bay -6 you are risking $110 to win $100
Same when you bet dallas +6.
Over / Under
The second most popular way to bet the nfl is what’s called the over/under or total points lets use the tampa/dallas game as an example once again the total on this game is at 51.5 which means you can bet both teams will score more than 51.5 points, combined or under 51.5 points over time is included in this type of wager
The 10% juice applies to over/under betting as well.
Betting the overs on games are exciting simply because you are technically never counted out as a loser vs a under that can be a losing bet early in a game
Money Line
The third most popular way of betting the nfl online is called the moneyline
This type of bet is more common in betting baseball try to follow me here when you bet the moneyline on a nfl game no point spread is involved to win your bet on the money line the team you are betting just has to win the game.They can win by one or 20 points it does not matter
Tip
Favorites, buyer beware big favorites will lose at times you can get crushed betting moneylines.
