Kraken vs. Wild Matchup History

  • Regular Season Games: 8 (2021-2024)
  • All-time Series: Kraken: 2 wins; Wild: 6 wins
  • Season Series: Wild lead 2-0-0

As the newest addition to the NHL, the Seattle Kraken have a rather brief history. The Kraken entered the league in 2021, marking this season as just their 3rd in the NHL, which is why Thursday’s showdown with Minnesota is just their 9th all-time meeting. But this season the Wild have had the upper hand, posting a 2-0-0 record against Seattle, and enter Thursday’s matchup on the brink of a sweep. Minnesota has 8 total goals against Seattle, while the Kraken have just 2 against the Wild. Both of their previous matchups were in Seattle as well, giving the Wild homerink advantage for the first time this series.

Kraken vs. Wild Prediction

Some would say since it’s the final game of their season’s, with nothing to win or lose postseason-wise, it’s hard to determine how serious either team will take this one. However I’d say these are professionals who will give their all whenever the skates hit the ice, and there is something to win or lose; the game itself. Seattle and Minnesota will want to end the season on a high-note, so don’t fret about effort level.

However, the location of the game gives the Wild a massive advantage, so I’m going with Minnsota to win the game. The Wild are decent at home, winning 50% of their games, but the real advantage stems from giving their fans a good show in the last game of the season. Minnesota won’t be in the playoffs, so this is it, and the Wild will give it their all. Conversely, after being eliminated from postseason contention, the Kraken have been criticized for a lack of effort, and on the road against an opponent they have yet to beat, I don’t see Seattle turning things around.

Kraken vs. Wild predictions:

  • Moneyline Pick: Minnesota Wild (-148)

If you take the Wild Moneyline (-148): You risk $148 to win $100, for a total payout of $248, if the Wild win straight up.

  • Puck Line Pick: Minnesota Wild (-1.5)

If you take the Wild to Cover the -1.5 puck line (+160): You bet $100 to win $160, for a total payout of $260, if the Wild win the game by at least 2 goals.

  • O/U Pick: Over (6.0)

If you take the Over on 6 goals (-110): You risk $110 to win $100, for a total payout of $210, if the Kraken and Wild combine for more than 6 goals.
