Ready or not, Super Bowl LVIII is on its way! The 49ers and Chiefs are back on the biggest stage in football, as they prepare to compete in a Super Bowl rematch. Back in 2020, the Chiefs beat the Niners 31-20, but this year San Francisco is the favorite (Spread -2.0), as the 49ers look to stomp out KC’s dream of winning back-to-back Super Bowls. The Super Bowl is the NFL’s most watched game of the year, as millions of fans from around the world are expected to tune in, but the Super Bowl also offers a tremendous amount of sports betting options, with a wide range of opportunities to cash-in on the big game. 49ers vs. Chiefs: Best Super Bowl Prop Bets

The Coin Toss: Heads (-105) or Tails (-105)

A Super Bowl classic, betting on the coin toss. As you might imagine, it’s exactly what it sounds like; a good old-fashioned 50/50 wager on whether the opening coin toss will land heads or tails. It’s a classic because it is the simplest Super Bowl prop bet there is, and requires no previous knowledge of the game of football. Simply test your luck, and pick heads or tails. Personally, I believe tails never fails.

Prediction: Tails (-105)

First Team to Score: 49ers (-115) or Chiefs (-115)

Super Bowl props are great because of their simplicity. Other than the coin toss, which is essentially just blind luck, picking which team will score first is a straight-forward, no gimmick wager. Both teams are treated as equally likely to score first, but I’d take the Niners. San Francisco recorded a 1st quarter score in 76.5% of their regular season games, while the Chiefs posted a 1st quarter score just 47.1% of the time.

Prediction: San Francisco 49ers (-115)

Last Teams to Score in 1st Half: 49ers (-115) or Chiefs (-115)

I have the Niners scoring first in the game, but knowing Kansas City, the Chiefs will bounce back with a score of their own right before Usher takes the stage. Patrick Mahomes and the KC offense always seem to score when they need it most, and before heading into the locker room. Teams with a halftime lead are 41-12 in the Super Bowl (4 were tied), giving the halftime leaders a 77.4% Super Bowl win-rate. I’m certain KC coach Andy Reid is aware of this, and the Chiefs will do everything in their power to end the 1st half with a scoring drive.

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs (-115)

Player to Commit First Turnover: Brock Purdy (+180)

Nerves, stress, noise, and expectations. All of these will be weighing on quarterback Brock Purdy’s mind and body. Mr. Irrelevant won’t be able to fight the anxiety that comes with a quarterback’s first Super Bowl appearance. Even the best committed turnovers in their first Super Bowl, including Patrick Mahomes who threw 2 interceptions against the 49ers in 2020. Moreover, Purdy is facing a stout KC secondary who won’t pull any punches. Mr. Irrelevant will undoubtedly bounce back, but the 49ers QB will commit the first turnover of Super Bowl LVIII.

Prediction: Brock Purdy (+180)
