The Tennesee Titans vs Baltimore Ravens will play on August 11th at 7:30 pm in Baltimore. These two teams have had a rivalry that has been very active these past two seasons with the Titans winning two of the last three matchups. The Baltimore Ravens had a strong chance at making the playoffs last season before their star quarterback Lamar Jackson got injured in week 14. This injury would keep him sidelined for the rest of the season and as a result, would keep the Ravens out of the playoffs. The Tennesee Titans finished last season in first place in the AFC with a record of 12-5.Unfortunately, they lost in the Divisional Round to the Cincinnati Bengals, who continued on to the Super Bowl. During preseason, players are still fighting for a position on the final 52-man roster, so expect to see everyone at their best. Caesars Casino & Sportsbook has the match result odds at -175 Baltimore and +155 Tennesee. Additionally, the over/under total points for the game is set at 31.5 with the over being -105 and the under being -115. New users will receive a Risk-Free Bet of up to $1500 on their first wager.
For the Titans, they lost their star wide receiver, A.J. Brown, via trade to the Philadelphia Eagles. To fill his void, they signed veteran wide receiver Robert Woods from the Los Angeles Rams and drafted rookie Treylon Burks from Arkansas. It is unknown if both of these players will replace what Brown brought to the offense, but the Titans shouldn’t be too worried; they have the best running back in the NFL and he’s fully healthy this season. Derrick Henry got injured in week 8 last season and he didn’t play until their playoff game against the Bengals. Aside from Treylon Burks, the Titans selected quarterback Malik Willis from Liberty. This selection came as a surprise because they already have quarterback Ryan Tannehill who has taken the team to the playoffs every year he’s been the starting QB. It will be interesting to see how both quarterbacks play against the Ravens.
For the Ravens, they lost so many players to injuries last season. They are hopeful to get back their third-year running back J.K. Dobbins, who was set to have an explosive year last year before tearing his ACL before the season. The Ravens made multiple additions to improve their defense, the most notable being Kyle Hamilton who they drafted from Notre Dame. The Ravens are privileged to have Lamar Jackson as their quarterback. It has been two seasons since his MVP year and I do believe that he will make a massive comeback this season from his injury. He is eligible for a contract extension, but the front office has yet to make that deal official. Other quarterbacks around the league are getting paid hefty contracts, so if Jackson performs well, the front office may have no other option but to extend his contract and pay him a large amount of money. Jackson, along with other important starters, will not play in this game as the team is not willing to risk any injuries in the preseason.
I believe this game will be more important for the Titans as they will be testing out their newly acquired offensive players along with their rookies. I think Baltimore is aware of what they have in terms of talent, and due to last season’s injuries, will do their best to prevent any from happening, so it is unlikely they play their starters. Expect this match to be slow and catered to non-injury play even though there is a rivalry between the two teams.
For our expert Tennesee Titans vs. Baltimore Ravens prediction take the under on the 31.5 total points scored in the game.
