Ok, let’s get to our Rams vs 49ers picks against the spread for today’s NFC Championship Game.

The winner of today’s game will return to this same field for the Super Bowl on February 13 as SoFi Stadium is the host of this year’s Big Game. Today’s game will be the third meeting between the Rams and 49ers this season and – as you have probably heard if you have been paying attention – the Niners have dominated LA in recent years, not only sweeping the season series this year, but San Fran Head Coach Kyle Shanahan has also won six straight over Rams Head Coach Sean McVay and is 7-3 ATS all-time in head to head matchups.

The reason is pretty simple. Under Shanahan, the Niners play a style of defense that rattles McVay’s offense. They don’t blitz very often and they play a ton of zone coverage and that has confused McVay’s quarterbacks, especially this year’s Rams QB, Matthew Stafford, who in the two games against San Fran this season threw four interceptions, was sacked seven times and averaged a QB Rating of just 53 while the Rams averaged just 17 points.

We don’t expect different results today, as the Niners defense is playing as well as any other team still alive for the Super Bowl and held Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay in check last week at Lambeau Field.

As for the 49ers, this is a team that is winning with its defense and running game and that has led them to go under the total in six of their last seven games. The under is also 6-1 the last seven times the Niners were listed as the underdog and 5-1 when they are playing a winning team.

As for the Rams, McVay also tends to try and slow the game down, especially at home where his team is 19-7 to the under, including going under in 17 of their last 24 games as a home favorite.

We expect the same game plan today for both teams today, so for our Rams vs 49ers free picks that leads us to betting the under in tonight’s NFC Championship Game.
