texans vs rams

The Houston Texans travel to California to play against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on August 19th at 10:00 pm. This will be the second game both of these teams play this preseason. Last year, these teams met in December and the Rams won on the road by a final score of 38-22. They dominated the game and were up 38-0 with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter of that game. This game presents a huge opportunity for the Texans, as they can get their revenge and head into their final game of the preseason undefeated. During preseason, players are still fighting for a position on the final 52-man roster, so expect to see everyone at their best. Caesars Casino & Sportsbook has the match result odds at -135 Houston and +115 Los Angeles. Additionally, the over/under total points for the game is set at 37.5 with the over and under both being -110. New users will receive a Risk-Free Bet of up to $1500 on their first wager.

The Los Angeles Rams won the battle of Los Angeles last week after beating the Chargers by a final score of 29-22. They received a huge performance from quarterback, Bryce Perkins, and their defense made an important interception at the end of the game. Perkins was the only quarterback that played for the Rams and his stat line is a clear indication of why. He threw for two touchdowns, rushed for one, and had a quarterback rating of 123. It was an impressive performance and his play helped the Rams win the game. Now against the Texans, they will have to receive a similar performance from Perkins if they want to walk away with a win and remain undefeated. It is unknown if head coach Sean McVay will play the starters in this game against the Texans, but he might rest them until next week’s game to allow his squad as much recovery time as possible. The Rams will be focused on repeating their Super Bowl championship so keeping the squad healthy and free of injury is very important to them.

On the other hand, the Houston Texans will benefit greatly from a win against the Rams. After having finished 4-13 on the season last year, the Texans plan on having a more competitive season and record. A win against the reigning Super Bowl champs would be a huge momentum and confidence boost to close out their preseason undefeated. Last week against the Saints, their defense played a huge role for them. They forced three turnovers and held the Saints to under 300 total yards in the game. However, they received underwhelming quarterback play from Jeff Driskel. Driskel threw two touchdowns and three interceptions and had a quarterback rating of 65.9. If the Texans want to win this game, they need a better performance from Driskel as their defense did a great job keeping them in the game. It is unknown if the Texans will play their starters.

I believe this game will be low scoring as the Texans and Rams have good defenses. The Rams will need Perkins to play his best and the defense to force Driskel into errors like he did last game, if they want to win against Houston. Should the starters play, I think the Rams easily win this game as their squad is much more talented than the Texans. However, I think the Texans will allow their starting quarterback, Davis Mills, to play a lengthy amount this game as they know it is an important game and will need Mills to get ready for the season. If that is the case, the Texans might leave Los Angeles with a win. Whoever wins this game will have a lot of momentum with them as they head into the final week of preseason.

For our expert Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Rams prediction take the under on the 37.5 total points scored in the game.
