St. Peter’s faces the Tar Heels in the Elite Eight. Which Cinderella run ends?
St. Peter’s is probably the most famous and best Cinderella run of all time. They have made it farther than any 15 seed ever. It’s not like they beat bad teams. They beat the two-seeded Kentucky Wildcats in round one. Then they went and beat a seventh-seeded Murray St. team. Finally, they knocked off projected top four pick Jaden Ivey and his third-seeded Purdue Boilermakers in the Sweet Sixteen. The Peacocks just keep on dancing. They have been at least eight point underdogs in all four games that they’ve won.
UNC is coming off of a big win over the four-seeded UCLA Bruins. In many other years they would be the talked about Cinderella story as they also knocked off the defending champs in Baylor but they now face a 15-seeded Peacocks team.
