Ok, let’s get to our Nebraska vs Purdue prediction.

The Number 7 Boilermakers will likely be playing with some pent up demand when the ball goes in the air tonight against Nebraska at Mackey Arena. After beating Penn State 74-67 last weekend, the team’s scheduled game against Michigan on Monday was postponed, meaning tonight’s match-up against the Huskers will be just their second game in 11 days, and they’ll come into tonight’s game with a flashy 13-2 record.

It’s been just the opposite for Nebraska, which has played four games since the start of the New Year, resulting in four straight losses. In fact, the Huskers come to West Lafayette tonight with a 6-11 record and losers of nine of their last 10 games.

While Purdue should be able to score at will tonight against a Nebraska defense that ranks 325th in the country in points allowed per game and 300th in defending the three-point shot, the Boilermakers aren’t afraid to slow it down when need be, as seen by the fact that they rank 230 in the country in offensive possessions per game. That’s exactly what Purdue likes to do when they get a big lead, as they have gone under the total in 23 of their last 30 games against losing teams. With a big game on deck against Illinois, Purdue has no reason to keep their foot on the gas when they get out ahead to a big lead tonight, as expected.

This is the highest total either team has had posted on one of their games this season and while Purdue is 10-6 to the over this season, they are 3-1 to the under when the total is 151 points or higher.

Bottom line: This over/under is too high, so let’s play under 155.5 points in tonight’s Purdue vs Nebraska game.
