Matchup: Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings
In a rematch of last year’s Western Conference First Round, the Golden State Warriors will face the Sacramento Kings in arguably the most exciting game of the NBA play-in, the win-or-go-home 9th vs. 10th place game. The Warriors knocked the Kings out of the playoffs last year in a First Round upset, winning the series 4-3, as Golden State looks to once again hand Sacramento another early postseason exit. Tuesday is a single loser-goes-home contest, and despite being the higher seed at No. 9, the Kings are not favored to win, the Warriors are. Golden State is one of those teams that can turn up the dial in the postseason, making them a dangerous opponent for any team in the playoffs, but especially the inexperienced Kings. However Sacramento has proven they can beat Golden State, securing two wins in four regular season games this year, but with the pressure turned up we’ll see if the Kings have what it takes to advance.
Below you’ll find all of our picks for the Warriors vs. Kings Play-In game, including stats, scores, and betting advice. We’ll help you navigate the odds and provide helpful betting tips for Tuesday’s matchup between the Warriors vs. Kings.

Warriors vs. Kings Matchup History
- Regular & Post Season Games: 419 (1948-2024)
- All-time Series: Warriors: 221 wins; Kings 198 wins
- Season Series: Tied 2-2
The Warriors and Kings series goes back 76 years to 1948 when the series began. However they’ve both only been in California since 1985. Regardless of location, the Warriors have done well against the Kings, posting 221 total wins (regular and postseason) to the Kings 198 wins. This season, Golden State won the first two matchups, but Sacramento came back and tied the series with two wins of their own. Head-to-head, the Warriors averaged 120.0 points per game, and the Kings averaged 118.25. Miraculously, three of the four matchups between the Warriors and Kings ended in a 1-point margin of victory (102-101, 124-123, & 134-133), and Tuesday’s win-or-go-home death battle will be another incredible matchup.
Warriors vs. Kings Prediction
The Kings and Warriors matchup well, as you can see from their previous games during the regular season, in which only one ended by a point differential greater than 1. What’s more, Golden State and Sacramento share the same record (46-36), have just a 1-game difference between their home and away records, and have a difference of just 0.8 between their respective point differentials. The biggest difference between these two equally matched sides is their postseason experience, and for that reason my confidence lies in the Golden State Warriors.
The Kings are young and inexperienced in the playoffs, while the Warriors have been a dominating postseason force over the last decade, reaching 6x Finals and winning 4x titles. Steph Curry is a force to be reckoned with, and the Kings don’t have an answer for the shifty guard, giving up 31-points per game to the 2x MVP. Domantas Sabonis had a great season, leading the NBA with 77 double-doubles and the most rebounds per game (13.7). But as a team the Warriors recorded the most rebounds in the NBA (46.7 per game) and held Sabonis under 20 points in three of their four matchups. Tuesday’s matchup between Golden State and Sacramento has the potential to be the greatest game of the season, but when it matters most, the cunning Warriors always find a path to victory.
