So let’s break this one down…

After a thrilling series opener, the OKC Thunder hold a 1-0 lead over the New Orleans Pelicans.

OKC won Game 1 94-92, as the 8-seed Pelicans nearly upset the 1-seed Thunder, despite not having Zion Williamson.

Zion will remain sidelined in Game 2, but I’m not sure the Pelicans need him.

New Orleans played great in Game 1, holding the West’s top-scoring team under 100 points, thanks to their stifling defense.

A spread at +7.5 points is disrespectful to the Pelicans, who continue to be underestimated with Zion Williamson on the bench.

But the Pels got on fine without Williamson, dominating the glass thanks to Jonas Valanciunas’ 20 rebounds, and Game 2 against the Thunder will be another nail-biter.

So for our Pelicans vs. Thunder expert pick, take the New Orleans Pelicans to Cov

er (+7.5) on Wednesday.
