Saturday NBA Game and Props 

All right, Tommy dieback here. It’s Friday the 25th of February. And this is another edition of bet the edge. Hope everyone has been following us. If not, you just want to hit that subscribe button. You’ve seen these guys before you’ll see him again. Mr. Scott Matthews from SM sports specs, and Dre Fernandez from online sports bet.com. Gentlemen, how are we doing this Friday?

Well, I was glad to see the NBA came back. As I told you the other day, I was a little bored. But I was really excited because I gave out two phenomenal places. On the show. I had the over on the Boston Brooklyn total that went over by 20 some odd points. And my best bet on the show in the NBA was Golden State who won by 37 Tommy so I’m a little excited. I’ll tell you about the remaining 2025 games of the NBA season, and obviously going into March Madness. So this is a good time of the year we got some plays that look outstanding on this show. So let’s try to get the people what they want, which is some winners.

Alright, and Dre you’re gonna have some good props for us and all that on this show. Sure. I

And Scott will tell you how you can get his premium plays. Let’s get right to it. First game up on Saturdays a big SEC game. Auburn, Tennessee four o’clock. So I thought I’m going to start with you, Scott. I know I don’t believe there was a line on this game. But Lord’s gonna try our best who Who do you see here Auburn versus Tennessee?

Well, talk about teams that like home cooking. These two teams love playing on their home court. Both of them are undefeated so far this year, which is pretty tough to do in college basketball with the parity out there, obviously. But this game is going to be a tough game. I gotta be honest with you, Tennessee, I had them the other day kind of lost the tough game against Arkansas came back won their next game, now they’re playing at home, they’re probably this game is going to be a very tight number. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game is minus one one and a half points either way, I probably would think 10 would be a small favorite just because of the perfect record at home. But they’re playing against a team that can play well on the road and has done well against the number. But I think that Tennessee in this particular game is going to continue their winning ways I like the way they can match up with a team like Auburn with these physical-type games. I gotta give the home field advantage in this game to tennis even though it’s not really a big number and it’s going to be a close number. I think Tennessee gets the job done in this matchup. I think the inside game is going to open up their outside game which will give them a little bit of an advantage against this Auburn team so I’m gonna say at this point time I would just money line this game that fits a short number guys. I’m just going based on early indications. I think the number will be two or under either way. I would Moneyline the game and I would make 10 to see them play on the money line.

Alright, Tennessee on the money line volunteers Dre what’s your look on this one?

I’m right with Scott here. Tennessee’s 14 Oh at home. And it’s not like they’ve been bad teams they’ve beaten they beat Number Two Arizona at home 7773 They also beat sixth-ranked Kentucky at home 7663 So I think that Tennessee is just to play here. I mean when they’re on the road but against them when they’re at home. That for them is how they’ve been playing lately. I’m I’m with Scott that you should take Moneyline here if it’s less than two, two and a half. Um, don’t risk it with the points there. And Auburn obviously can be factored by a home crowd as they lost a Florida just the other day at Florida when they should not have lost that game. So I’m going to take Tennessee here,

and they played a close game earlier in the year. In Auburn it was 7772 So they played tight in a tough place obviously for Arkansas on the road not being as good a row team. Excuse me, Tennessee is not being as good at row team as normal. They still played a tight game they only lost by five at Auburn. So I think they’re going to be jacked up the revenge factor in this game. So I think that that play looks pretty solid with Tennessee coming out battling their asses off of this game.

Alright, so you both agree with Tennessee. The next game up is also well, it’s a big 12 matchup, Kansas Bala. It’s an eight o’clock game, Eastern Star. I’m gonna go back to Dre on this one. Who do you like on this one?

Well, I know we don’t have a line on this game yet. But if I had to choose, I take Kansas here. They’ve won four straight or they’re playing pretty well right now. And I know Baylor’s won two straight, but those two-three games, they lost or they’re coming, they lost a Texas Tech than they beat TCU. And then they almost lost to Oklahoma State. So they’re not playing particularly well right now. I think Kansas with the way they’re playing. The way they’re being coached right now is playing extremely well. And I think that this number will actually I’m not going to speculate on the number but I do think Kansas will win this game. I think they will cover and I know it’s a weird stat but can’t win Kansas is is that a rest disadvantage there for and one against the spread this year. And they are at a disadvantage in this game.

All right, Scott, who do you think in on this one Kansas, Baylor, they got a big 12 matchup? Well, short

term memory hits us all. Kansas just destroyed them about two and a half weeks ago, I mean, literally destroyed them winning that game so easily. I think they were up by as many as 30. At one point, they won the game by like 23 or 24. They just blew out Baylor on the in-home court, obviously, I think this is gonna be another short number game, I think this game is going to be a one and a half point one and a half, maybe a two-point game, probably going to be you know, the home team will be favored in this game. I mean, this is another tough game. Man, I gotta be honest with you about these. This is where you thought, you know, seeing these tough matchups going towards the end of February into the early part of the march into these tournaments, conference tournaments, and then into the big dance. But I’m gonna roll with Ray on this one myself. I think that Kansas right now, just playing at that top-level type of bail has been in some games. Yeah, that went in. But you know, some of the games have been ugly at best. And I just think Kansas has it all together, they easily pounded them recently, I think they can definitely get the job done in this spot, they’re probably going to be a small favorite. So which I would probably grab the points in this game, I don’t know exactly what I can get it up to because there’s not a defining number out on the game, as we’re speaking right now. But if I could even get this game up to two and a half a plus three, which I’m probably would be able to, because this game might be a two-point favorite, or one and a half or 2.5. Or maybe even more, I don’t know. But I would get at least plus three. And I would take the Jayhawks in this game with Kansas, and I think they’re going to get the job done and continue their winning ways.

All right, well, it’s gonna be a big game. We’re looking at something great game. It’s gonna be a great game. Just want to just quickly talk about what’s going on with MLB. I mean, it’ll be a tragedy. If they cancel this season. They claim

that what is it? What is MLB I forgot it’s been so long?

Well, you know, listen, let me tell you something about baseball shops making a lot of money in baseball. And that’s a true sport where professional sports bettors really make a lot of money now. It did early to start talking about that. They said as a deadline on Monday, they’re gonna start canceling games. I think that would be a mistake all around. I guess we’re gonna have to wait and see but we will be doing shows right through the summer. Hopefully, we do get some baseball. We got an NBA game here Saturday, Saturday night, eight o’clock nets bucks. I think the Bucs came out as a nine point in the early number nine-point favorite. I’m going to go back to you, Dre. Can they cover this number or do the nets play? I’m tough.

I think they call it this number. Excuse me, even with I’m pretty sure Kyrie Irving is going to play in this game because it is in Milwaukee, but the bucks and kind of need to get on their horse a little bit there three games out of first place. And I think they don’t want to have a lower seed they want to have on fifth or homecourt advantage. Excuse me. We’re just big for them and help them last year in the finals. And they played in the finals. Yeah, sorry, in the finals throughout the playoffs, but um, they play this next team really well. They’ve won four straight dating back to last year’s playoffs. They’ve killed them. They’ve played them twice this year, that one already twice this year. So I think that and the way that Yanis plays against them, I don’t know what he has against Brooklyn, but he loves playing them more on that later with our prop, but um, I think that the nets are gonna cover or shoot me. Griffin’s gonna cover this number, Kyrie is the only big player playing Ben Simmons isn’t back yet. I know he’s nearing his return but he’s not back yet. And Katie, we really don’t have a timeline on his injury. So I think the Bucs will win this game. You know,

I got a good prop bet for you drag. I don’t know. I think a good odds on this one. But this is an interesting prop bet. Well, Ben Simmons hit the floor before major league baseball star. The odds on that one is Tommy, but that could be an interesting play. Well, Ben Simmons screwed up in a play for Brooklyn before Major League Baseball as their first game of the season.

I think he will.

Yeah, well, the canceling exhibition games, and doesn’t look like they’re going to start. I think March 31 is the first game doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen. So So I mean, let I mean baseball is done in the dumps, to begin with. A lot of people have abandoned baseball, they say it’s too long. It’s a slow game. For them to blow the season away is just a total slap in the face to anyone that supports them. Some of these stadiums get no crowds or anything. So we’ll have to wait and see what happens with that. But what let’s go back to Scott on this Brooklyn Milwaukee game, what’s your take on it?

Well, I think this is like a showcase game for Yanis. Again, to just come out and do what he does best and just crush him himself. If you watch the game the other night and I mean, the opening night back, the Celtics just destroyed Brooklyn. I mean, they were hitting shots all over the place. It was like nobody was guarding anybody. It just doesn’t show like the nets are into it at this point in time. I don’t know if they just save it. What that what they’re really trying to do. They’re playing with a MASH unit. Obviously, this thaws is not in the lineup, you’re missing kady. You’re missing you know, now Simmons, I lose hot and Chi reason and out of the lineup. You know what, depending on where they’re playing, Joe Harris is out. I mean, it’s you know, that, trying to make it happen against a team that can really turn it on. I mean, maybe Milwaukee’s just kind of sitting in, you know, fine-tuning in the middle of the pack. And now that they make their move, but I think this game, you know, should be a blow-up. I don’t see how the nets can handle the big three of holiday, Middleton and Yanis with the unit that they have. I just don’t see how that’s gonna happen. Because holiday let me tell you something. Not he’s a tremendous defensive player. And he causes Fitz turnovers mistakes, they stopped putting that high pressure on Brooklyn. I mean, this game could get ugly, this game could get real ugly, I could see this game being you know, 1520 25 points. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was, you know, a 15 to 25 point win for Milwaukee in this game. I don’t know the current line. But I think whatever the line is, at this point in time, it could be in the range from seven and a half to nine and nine and a half. I think Milwaukee will get the job done. I just don’t see how Brooklyn can match up with them. Based on everything. I’ve looked at the numbers, how Milwaukee plays against them. You are honest and spot like this. They get the job done and win and cover this spread.

All right, you both like the favorite here, Milwaukee. Well, this is the time in the show when we put out our best bets. It could be a game that we spoke about. It could be any game over the weekend. I’m going to start with you, Dre, who is your best bet.

Well, I got to profit you guys. So this will be the best fan and we’ll have another prophet the prophet, but for the best back. I’m gonna go yawn, so I’m gonna take it over and points. He loves playing Brooklyn. I don’t know why he does. But he let me give you these numbers over the last few times. He’s played broken and he had 3214 and seven, and then 31, nine, and seven. All the numbers will probably be 30 and a half. That’s usually what I see that for the honest. But he’s playing out of his mind lately. Everyone’s talking about the Rosen recently. But Yanis is also averaging over 33 points in the month of February. He’s playing great right now. I think that Brooklyn really has no answer for him. And I think he’ll hit this over pretty handily.

Alright, Rosen is playing out of his mind lately. I’ll tell you he’s creeping up right now. Like right the Joel and beat in the MVP race with the way he’s been playing over the last several games in this season. I mean, 38 Straight 35 Point games in a row. Just incredible is on a shortlist of people ever to do it in the NBA. It’s crazy. The guys playing lights out, and that’s carrying the bulls. They’re the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, right? Now, you know, it’s gonna be a nice race all the way to the end with the Eat 70 Sixers and Milwaukee you know this it’s a tight pack, and is about six teams in that pack. So it’s going to be really interesting. I’m jacked up actually about the way the Eastern Conference is going to go. I’m actually worried about the heat. Yeah, well, let’s see what happens with the heat there. Once they show up one game and yet another show up. You got

your four best players, Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, Bama bio and Tyler here. I’ve only played a grand total of 65 minutes together and they’re still number one or number one in the East buy out by like half a game because they haven’t played yet.

Oh, he’s got a great team, and then pick it up. PJ Tucker was a big acquisition. Defensively he’s he’s almost like a holiday. I mean, just causes Fitz to make the bucks. Yeah. So you know, things like that is added edge. It’s like I said, it’s gonna be really, really interesting because the Rosen’s carrying, obviously what he’s doing, I mean, he’s playing what a geek look at the guys out of the lineup for the bolts, but, I mean, the bulls have missed it so humbly Caruso, you know, all the sack Levina in and out of the lineup. I mean, look, look at what’s going on with the bulls and they’re still winning ballgames. So and like you said, with the heat, and they’re still playing really well, but now with Philadelphia with beadh and harden and plays, maybe they got rid of the, you know, the noise with Ben Simmons, push the noise over to Brooklyn, and that’s going to light you know, that’s gonna lift Philadelphia. And then you got to see what happens, obviously, with the nets. I mean, now with Ben’s, so a lot of good things to look forward to my best bet on the show, guys. And I want to continue that theme. Obviously, my best bet. I’m going to ride with Kansas, I think Kansas gets the job done. I haven’t really had a chance to look at so many things on the board, because the numbers aren’t out. But I really think this Kansas team right now is the right way. I like the way they blew him out last time. I just don’t like you know, as well, as Baylor has been playing. They’ve been you know, going down to the close games and not really showing me a lot. I mean, yes, winning, winning all that matters. At the end of the day, I obviously would have 23 and five records, they got a great squad. But this Kansas team is a real deal. I think you have to come with your A-plus game in order to beat a team like this because they’re well-coached. They can play in environments that are hostile. They do show up for games like this. I like Kansas plus the points again, I would get that line to at least three or better, you might get more. I’m just going by an early indication. That’s my top play on this show is the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday.

Yeah, so this is continuing on he plays but I think he’s gonna play we got a bulls a Grizzlies matchup that the line right now is like minus one and a half is gonna be a close game. But I think John Moran with the way the rose is playing John is gonna have to match him a little bit. And I think John is gonna go over and points here. I mean, we are also seeing the Rosen right now. But don’t forget about the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are playing great basketball right now. Jaws really unstoppable I was watching him play the other night there’s no one that can do what he does inside the paint I think he’s one of the top five scorers in the league in the paint and he’s what six three so I just think jar, especially with this loose of it in the middle, is not a real huge shot blocker for them so I think that that job getting in the paint here matching the Rosen is a good place to take is over in points

that’d be a nice match up those two guys who are playing at the top of a game going against each other that’d be an interesting game to look at you know John Moran against Rosa was playing ridiculous I mean, you know at this point in time
