The Heat have been led by Jimmy Butler this postseason. He has been the main reason this team has been winning games. Butler is averaging 31.5 points and 5.5 assists a game in the playoffs. He had a huge game 1 against the Celtics. Big man Bam Adebayo has been helping Butler this postseason averaging 18.3 points and 9.1 rebounds a game this season. No one else has really helped Butler and Adebayo this postseason. Gabe Vincent has helped these two the most averaging 11.8 points a game this postseason with 4.6 assists. Max Strus, Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, and Caleb Martin need to come up big in this series and help Butler and Adebayo out when they need it.
In their win against the Celtics in game 1, Butler had an amazing performance and was clutch down the stretch. He finished with 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. Adebayo also had a great game with Al Horford and Robert Williams III guarding me. He finished with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Miami also had all of their role players step up as Vincent, Strus, Martin, and Lowry all put up 15 points in the win. Miami needs these four guys to continue to step up in this series. If the Heat play like this in every game they will sweep the Celtics in four games. In the win, the Heat shot 54.1% from the floor and 51.6% from the three-point line.
Boston Celtics Basketball
The Celtics had a rough first game in this series and our looking for revenge in this game. This is a huge game for Boston because they cannot afford to go down in the series 2-0 with it heading back to Miami. The Celtics need to make some defensive adjustments in this game of they want to win. They just could not stop Miami for the life of them and Butler did whatever he wanted.
The Celics have been led by Jayson Tatum, who leads the team in points, rebounds, and assists this postseason. Tatum is averaging 28.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists a game in the playoffs. He has been insane all season and is really making a mark on his career in this postseason. He risen up every chance the Celtics have needed him too. Boston will need him to step it up in this game because they cannot afford to go down 2-0 in the series. Jaylen Brown has been helping out Tatum this postseason, averaging 24.4 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. Marcus Smart has stepped for the Celtics in the playoffs averaging 15.6 points and 5.5 assists a game. These two guys need to continue to play great basketball and be the supporting cast Tatum needs.
In their win against the Heat in game 1, Tatum had a big game for Celtics scoring 30 points and 7 rebounds. Brown had a great game finishing with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Except, he struggled shooting from deep going 1-6 from the three-point line. Malcolm Brogdon off the bench gave the Celtics quality minutes finishing with 19 points. Boston just could not stop Butler late in the game. If they want to win game 2 they will have to figure out something to contain Butler. In the win, the Celtics shot 51.9% from the floor and 34.5% from the three-point line.
