Matchup: Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks

The Golden State Warriors will travel to Texas this Wednesday to take on the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors are 10th in the West, fighting day after day to stay within reach of the playoffs, while the Mavericks are 8th in the West, and after winning 3-straight, Dallas is just one game out from an automatic playoff berth. Wednesday marks the 2nd matchup of the season between the Warriors and Mavs but it’s not the last, as they are slated for two more games after this one before the regular season ends. The Mavs won the first game 132-122 and will look to keep their streak alive, while the Warriors are going for the upset, but they’ll be without their best player.

Below you’ll find all of our picks for the Warriors vs. Mavericks, including stats, scores, and betting advice. We’ll help you navigate the odds and provide helpful betting tips for Wednesday’s matchup between the Warriors and Mavericks.

Warriors vs. Mavericks History

The second matchup of the season between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks is also their 174th all-time regular season meeting. The series began in 1980 and by the end of the current season, the Warriors and Mavericks will have reached 176 regular season games. Golden State and Dallas have met in the playoffs twice (2007 & 2022) and the Warriors won both series. However, Dallas leads the all-time series with a 91-82 record (52.6%) over Golden State. The Warriors are 34-52 (39.5%) in Dallas all-time, and have lost 5 of their last 7 games against the Mavericks on the road.

Warriors vs. Mavericks Game Predictions

The Warriors are clawing their way back up the Western Conference standings, but with Steph Curry sidelined for their matchup with Dallas, I’ll take the Mavericks in this one. Curry suffered an ankle injury last week in the Warriors loss to the Chicago Bulls, and while he avoided any long-term issues, the 10x NBA All-Star has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game. Without Curry the Warriors are 1-4, and average just 110.6 points per game. Curry is the undisputed leader of the Warriors, and without their leader, Golden State is lost.

Dallas has their own superstar in 25-year old phenom Luka Doncic. Doncic’s scoring ability, basketball IQ, and innate talent is something to behold. Normally the Warriors could keep up with Dallas’ blistering offense, but without Curry to match Doncic, the Mavericks will run rampant. Dallas is on a roll, winning 3-straight while averaging 121.8 points in their last 10. As I mentioned above, a Curry-less Warrior team is no threat, and I’m expecting the Mavs to continue their impressive run.

In summary, here are my picks for the Warriors vs. Mavericks Wednesday night matchup:

  • Moneyline Pick: Dallas Mavericks (-320)

If you take the Mavericks Moneyline (-320): You risk $320 to win $100, for a total payout of $420, if the Mavericks win straight up.

  • ATS Pick: Dallas Mavericks (-7.5)

If you take the Mavericks to Cover the -7.5 Spread (-110): You risk $110 to win $100, for a total payout of $210, if the Mavericks win the game by 8 points or more.

  • O/U Pick: Over (pending)
