Yankees look to get close to clinching division 

The Yankees are now 88-58 on the season. They have righted the ship over the last month after they looked like they were possibly going to blow the division. They still need to keep winning games but they have a nice 5.5 game cushion with 16 games to go.

The Pirates season is over. They sit at 55-92 and last in the NL Central. We did warn you when this team was sitting in third place in the Central that they would regress and that has happened. They have lost four in a row and six of their last ten. 

Roansy Contreras will be facing Luis Severino in this one. Contreras has been great lately as over his last four starts he is 2-0 with a dazzling 1.34 ERA. He is facing Luis Severino who is 5-3 on the season with a 3.45 ERA. I think the Pirates will keep this game close behind Contreras, especially considering Severino gave up four earned runs in only two innings in his last start.
