The Padres are on fire right now. They have now won four straight games as they swept the Cubs. They now own a 41-24 record. They have now won eight of their last ten games. The Padres are now ahead of the Dodgers and have the second best record in the NL. Remember, they’re doing this without Fernando Tatis Jr. 

The Rockies are now 27-37 on the season. They have lost two three straight games to the Guardians and are last in the NL West. They have the second worst run differential in the NL at -69. 

This over is very high for a good reason. German Marquez has been one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball this year with a 6.09 ERA. He will be facing a Padres offense that has been raking as of late averaging over 10 runs a game. Nick Martinez will be on the mound for the Padres. He has been decent this season but I think the Rockies hit him well.
