Series Tied as Braves Head to Philly
The Atlanta Braves took Game 2 on Monday in spectacular fashion, beating the Phillies 5-4 to even the series at 1-1. If you haven’t seen the final sequence of Game 2 between the Braves and Phillies, check it out here.
After being shutout in Game 1 (final score: 3-0), top seeded Atlanta was shaken. The Braves were not shutout at home all year during the regular season, but some incredible fielding from the Phillies kept Atlanta off the scoreboard. Philadelphia is looking like a World Series contender, and they’ve been brilliant on both sides of the ball, averaging 4.5 runs and 8.25 hits, while recording the best ERA (1.54) of the postseason, but the Braves are still considered the best team in baseball.
For Game 3, take the Atlanta Braves to win. The Braves are arguably the most well-rounded team, and while the Phillies Bryce Harper has played well this series, Atlanta has more talent throughout the entire squad. Game 2 was a huge win for the Braves, as they can now shake off the nerves and get back to playing their signature style that won them the No. 1 seed.
