Giants host Mets
These are two of the MLB’s best teams. The Giants our 22-17 which gives them the fifth most wins in the NL. They aren’t playing particularly well as of late as they’ve only won five of their last 10 games.
The Padres have been one of the MLB’s best teams this season. That’s a bit surprising as they started without two of their top five players in Tatis and Snell. Eric Hosmer and Manny Machado have really stepped up to give this team a boost.
Alex Cobb and David Peterson are on the bump here. I think Cobb’s record is a bit misleading as he is 3-1 but his ERA sits at 5.61. Somehow the Giants are being favored in this game when the Mets are pitching David Peterson who has a 1.89 era. I think the Giants are being overrated at home here and the Mets will win this game.
