The New York Mets have been dominant all season. They currently have the second best winning percentage in the MLB, and additionally rank 1st in team batting average, 2nd in team runs scored, 1st in team hits, 1st in team On Base Percentage, 13th in Team ERA, and 3rd in team strikeouts. So how are they not favored against the Los Angeles Angels team that has gone one in nine of their last ten games and just recently snapped a 15 game losing streak against the Boston Red Sox just two games ago? 

 

There are a couple reasons for that, and the first is who the Angels have on the mound for them. Patrick Sandoval is in his first Major League season, and as a lefty, he has a 3-1 record with a 2.81 ERA along with 46 strikeouts. To say that he’s played well would be an understatement. The second reason is that the Los Angeles Angels just underwent a new change in management, which many believe will be better for this team that is loaded with stars. The team has responded in kind, as in their first game under new coaching, they won against the Red Sox. Given that this game is in Los Angeles, it can go either way, but we have a safer pick in mind.
