Orioles Even it Up

In a series that involves 2 baseball franchises that are both at least 10 games under .500, and which many believe are two of the worst organizations in Major League Baseball right now, it is only fitting that the first three games blowouts for different teams. Games one and two went the Royals way, which were quite surprising due to the fact that the Royals were deemed by many as the worse of these two teams. The Orioles responded by winning game three handedly, which did nothing but add confusion to what this series means for these teams.

The Royals had actually managed to win three games in a row until game three. In game 2 Jonathan Heasley allowed one hit in a career-best seven sharp innings, and Salvador Perez and MJ Melendez each homered and drove in three runs and the Kansas City Royals defeated the Baltimore Orioles 8-1 on Friday night for their third straight win.

Both pitchers in tonight’s game have losing records on the year. Dean Kremer of the Orioles will be making his second start of the year, and will try to get his first win as well, as his first start resulted in nothing but a tally in the loss column. Brad Keller of the Royals hadn’t had much success this season either and has been a big part of why his Royals rank 27th overall in pitching. He has a 1-7 record in his fourth big league season. This series has been virtually impossible to get a grasp on, but there is one value pick that is becoming a trend in the series.
