NL West showdown in LA
The Dodgers have cemented themselves as the best team in baseball. They still have an outside shot as the 2001 Mariners 116 win record as they sit at 101-44. They are a full six games on the next best record in baseball, the Astros. They have won three in a row.
The Diamondbacks have completely overachieved this season. They sit at 68-78 on the season. Many people doubted whether this team could even reach 60 wins for the whole season. They have lost three straight games though.
The Dodgers will be going with a bullpen game here while the Dbacks will be pitching Zach Davies. Davies is 2-4 on the season with a 4.06 ERA. He has faced the Dodgers three times this season and has given up eight runs over 14.2 innings. That isn’t a great track record. I like the Dodgers to continue their trek towards this record. They are aware of this record and I think they are going for it.
