Braves look to continue climb towards Mets

The Braves win streak finally ended. They won 14 games in a row before finally being dethroned by the Cubs. This streak helped them gain so much ground on the Mets in the NL East. They are 38-29 and 5.5 games behind the Mets.

The Giants are actually playing really well right now. They have won seven of their last nine games and are now 37-28 on the season. They are now only 2.5 game back of the second-place Dodgers and the NL West and 3.5 games back of the first place Padres. They are looking more and more like the team that led the league in wins last year. 

This looks to be a pitchers duel. Logan Webb and Max Fried will be on the mound in this one. Webb and Fried combine for a 13-4 record. Webb is coming off of a start where he went seven Innings and only gave up five hits and 0 runs. Fried is coming off of a start where he got the win but he got busted up a bit for four runs in 5.2 Innings. The Giants are playing really well right now and so are the Braves. I like the Braves to win this game at home as over their last ten they are averaging 5.8 runs while the Giants are averaging 3.8.
