But the Los Angeles Angels, mired in injury problems and struggles in their starting pitching staff, as well as inconsistent hitting, look like they may be non-contenders again for another season, despite having the young man who, in the minds of many, is the best player in baseball. The Angels seem to make better contact at home (.272) than they do on the road, and Albert Pujols, the future Hall of Famer who has 593 career home runs, has a four-game hitting streak going, during which time he has eight hits in 18 at-bats.
