The 2024 Masters: Final Round Odds, Picks, and Predictions

By Sam Batz

The Masters

Dates: April 11-14, 2024

Course: Augusta National Golf Course

Purse: $18,000,000

The final round of The Masters begins this Sunday, and after 72 holes of incredible golf, we will have our champion. The Masters, which is the first major on the PGA tour, began with 89 golfers in the field, but only the top-50 players make the cut. The cut was 6 over, a high line as windy conditions and firm greens made for some challenging golf. Conditions at Augusta National are expected to improve dramatically, which will be a welcome sight following Friday’s blustery second round, as just eight golfers in the entire field finished below par.

Scottie Scheffler, Max Homa, and Bryson DeChambeau enter round 3 tied for the lead at 6 under (-6). According to Caesars Sportsbooks, Scheffler remains the far and away favorite at +130 (bet $100 to win $130), followed by DeChambeau at +400, then Homa is +450. Everyone else is a distant favorite, with Collin Morikawa (+1600), Ludvig Aberg (+2000), and Nicolai Hojgaard (+2800) the only other golfers inside +3000. So which golfers should you target with your 2024 Masters bets?

Favorite to Win The Masters

The No. 1 golfer in the world has not disappointed us. Scottie Scheffler remains the top-dog of the tournament, currently priced at +130, making Scheffler the overwhelming favorite to win The Masters. The pressure of being the world’s No. 1 golfer has not affected Scheffler in the slightest, as he enters the weekend as co-leader, alongside Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau. Scheffler is hitting the ball with confidence, and putting for birdie at nearly every hole thanks to his unparalleled approach shots. In his current form, it’s hard to make an argument against Scheffler winning the second green jacket of his career.

The Masters Best Pick: Scottie Scheffler (+130)

The pressure around Scheffler is building, and while he remains the top-pick for now, things can change quickly at The Masters. One bad hole and Homa or DeChambeau could take the lead. DeChambeau is a big hitter, meticulously analyzing every shot, putting him a great position on every hole. Improved iron play has earned DeChambeau a share of the lead, putting him in a good spot to win his first green jacket.

Bryson’s big drives get him a lot of attention, but don’t sleep on Max Homa. He is a well-rounded golfer with very few flaws in his game. Homa’s relaxed mentality has him within reach of the first major of his career, but only if he can stay focused. Beating Scheffler won’t be easy, as the mans a wizard with his irons and can dial it up at any moment, but as co-leaders through two rounds, I have to give DeChambeau and Homa props for keeping pace with the No. 1 golfer in the world.

The Masters Best non-Scheffler Pick(s): Bryson DeChambeau (+400) & Max Homa (+450)

If you’re looking for a great sleeper pick with a big payout, look no further than Australia’s Cam Davis. Davis is just three strokes back from the lead, but at +5500 his value is exceptional. Davis recorded the 5th-best score of the first round (69), and managed to shoot Even through the turbulent winds of the second. He’s a consistent golfer, and while his best finish of the year was T18 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, I love Davis at his current odds. He’ll need to have a stellar round on Saturday, but if the Aussie stays in the top-5, don’t hesitate to put money on Cam Davis to win The Masters.

The Master Best Sleeper Pick: Cam Davis (+5500)
