Conference USA wednesday battle
FlU has looked decent this year with a 3-4 record and 2 FBS wins under their belt. They have lost 3 straight conference games and are looking to pick up their first win against this abysmal opponent. Freshman quarterback Keyone Jenkins has not looked great this year with 7 interceptions to 5 touchdowns. With his struggles this offense only puts up about 20 a game and is ranked 7th out of 9 teams in the conference. The defense isn’t much better allowing 27 points a game which puts them 6 in the conference
Sam Houston State has had a brutal start to the season starting 0-6 on the year. They are one of two teams in all of the FBS to not have a win so far. This team is still adjusting to FBS life and this is their first year in Conference-USA. They are dead last in offense in the NCAA averaging 11.2 a game. Their defense has actually been decent compared to the offense they sit 4th in Conference-USA allowing 24.7 a game.
Take FIU in this game. This is a weird line: the team who has not won a game and has the worst offense in the NCAA is favored by almost a touchdown. It could be a trap but I don’t see a way this FIU team doesn’t win this game outright let alone cover the spread.
