BetAnySports’ College Football Week 4 Opening Lines

The fourth week of the college football season marks the start of conference play pretty much across the betting board at BetAnySports. The SEC’s Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs hold the top two spots in the AP’s Top 25 followed by the ACC’s Clemson Tigers and the Big Ten’s Ohio State Buckeyes. The Oklahoma Sooners, out of the Big 12 round out the top five teams in the nation.

Turning to this Saturday’s slate of a games, Georgia gets things started early as a 14.5-point road favorite against Missouri in a 12 p.m. kickoff on ESPN. The total for this SEC tilt has been set at 61.5 points and it has gone OVER in four of the last six games between the two. The Bulldogs have won five of the last six meetings straight-up, but the Tigers hold the 4-1 edge against the spread in the last five games.

Another big SEC clash in Week 4 sends the No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies on the road as heavy 27-point underdogs against the Crimson Tide with the total set at 61.5 points. Game time from Tuscaloosa on CBS is 3:30 p.m. Alabama has won the last five meetings SU and the total has stayed UNDER in four of the last six meetings.

The only other head-to-head matchup on the board between nationally ranked teams is a Pac-12 showdown between the No. 7 Stanford Cardinal and the No. 20 Oregon Ducks in a classic North Division rivalry. The Ducks have been opened by BetAnySports as slight two-point home underdogs for this 8 p.m. start on ABC with the betting line for the total set at 55 points.

 

Stanford has an overall 4-2 edge both SU and ATS in the last six games in this matchup, but it falls to 2-6 SU in its last eight road games against the Ducks. The total has gone OVER in five of the last six meetings in Oregon.

Clemson will open its ACC schedule on Saturday as a 16.5-point road favorite against Georgia Tech at 3:30 p.m. on ABC and Ohio State has been listed as a heavy 35.5-point home favorite against the AAC’s Tulane Green Wave in Urban Meyer’s return to the sidelines as head coach following a team suspension. Game time from Columbus on the Big Ten Network is set for 3:30 p.m.
