BetAnySports NFL Week 3 Hot and Not

The first two games of the 2018 NFL regular season are in the books and out of 32 teams there are five teams in the AFC and just two teams in the NFC off to a perfect 2-0 start. Of the seven teams that have won their first two games straight-up, six have also covered against the spread in each contest.

A few of the more surprising perfect starts would be Cincinnati and Denver in the AFC and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC. The Bucs moved to 2-0 SU and ATS with an impressive 27-21 victory against Philadelphia as three-point home underdogs after upsetting New Orleans in their season opener 48-40 as heavy 10-point underdogs.

The Bengals’ fast start includes a road win over Indianapolis as one-point favorites followed by a 34-23 victory against NFC North rival Baltimore as one-point underdogs at home. Denver got past Seattle 27-24 at home to start the season in a game that ended as a PUSH at BetAnySports. The Broncos failed to cover as six-point home favorites in last Sunday’s 20-19 squeaker over Oakland.

The biggest showdown on the slate in Week 2 was a rematch of last season’s AFC title game between the New England Patriots and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville got the best of it this time around with a convincing 31-20 victory as a two-point home underdog. With a 20-15 Week 1 victory against the New York Giants as three-point road favorites, the Jaguars are off to a perfect start heading into this Sunday’s AFC South clash against Tennessee.

The Los Angeles Rams have moved to the top of the list in the NFC at 2-0 (SU and ATS). They have outscored Oakland and Arizona a combined 67-13 to easily cover as favorites in each of those contests. The total has stayed UNDER OnlineSportsBet ’ closing line in each game.

There are also seven teams off to a SU 0-2 start with four of the teams also losing both games ATS. The New York Giants at 0-2 SU and ATS are probably the biggest surprise in the NFC coming into the new season with high expectations.

The biggest shock in the AFC would probably be Houston at 0-2 (SU and ATS), although there has to be some concern in Pittsburgh with a 0-1-1 start SU while going 0-2 ATS. The Steelers will be on the road this Monday night as two-point favorites against the upstart Buccaneers.
