The Thanksgiving Holiday kicks off the official run to this season’s NFL playoffs with six weeks to go in the regular season. The 10-1 Los Angeles Rams and the 9-1 New Orleans Saints are setting the pace in the NFC with a wider scope of contenders fighting for the top two playoff seeds in the AFC. The rest of the pack in each conference continues to fight it out for the remaining spots in the postseason.
The Rams are coming off a wild 54-51 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs (9-2 SU, 8-2-1 ATS) on Monday night in a game that ended as a PUSH at BetAnySports. Los Angeles might have the best straight-up record in the league, but it has been tough on bettors at 4-5-2 against the spread. New Orleans remains the hottest team in the league both SU with a nine-game winning streak and ATS with eight covers in a row.
The Rams and the Chiefs are off this week while the Saints will look to keep things rolling on Thursday night as heavy 13-point home favorites against the rival 4-6 Atlanta Falcons in a NFC South matchup. The total for that game has been set at 59.5 points in what could be another high-scoring affair.
The second tier of contenders in the NFC is led by the 7-3 Chicago Bears, who covered in their fourth game in a row with Sunday night’s huge 25-20 victory over NFC North rival Minnesota (5-4-1 SU, 4-4-2 ATS) as 2.5-point home favorites to add some breathing room to their lead in the division title race. The Bears will have a quick turnaround this week with a road game against Detroit on Thanksgiving as four-point favorites. The total for that division tilt has been set at 45 points by BetAnySports.
