UFC 276 Adesanya vs Cannonier
I cannot wait to watch UFC 276, this card is going to be an all time great. Unlike the most recent card this card is full of a bunch of big named stars. These fights are going to be absolutely insane with all these hard hitters trying to compete for a championship belt or get their shot to compete for one. These fighters have a lot to lose and will make it extremely tough for both competitors.
Alright, let’s begin with Pedro Munhoz vs Sean O’Malley. Pedro Munhoz is 19-7 with 1 NC and one of the most electric fighters in the UFC Sean O’Malley is a whopping 15-1 with 73% of his wins coming from a KO. That one loss is also a very close call, O’Malley’s foot gave out in the first round and fell to the ground letting his opponent capitalize and win the match. The same foot that he was previously injured on, making it seem that he was not ready to come back from injury. Taking out that fight creates Sean O’Malley as a 15-0 fighter with a superior reach by eight inches and taller by 5 inches. Sean O’Malley has all the characteristics of leading toward a victory. However, it will not be easy Munhoz has 9 loses but has never been finished and O’Malley is not used to longer fights which could result in some uncertainty. However, O’Malley should definitely be a favorite and I do think that he will win and his -295 ML will be good. -295 is very rich for most bettors so my official bet would be O’Malley by decision +145 and lean on the over 2.5 -120. This fight will be one of the best fights of the night and what a great way to start the main card.
This next fight will be amazing
Because of how strong and aggressive these two fighters are. I really think that this fight will be a great one and for betting purposes it’s the best one all night. No matter who you want there is value in both fighters. Sean Strickland with a record of 25-3 vs Alex Pereira with a record of 2-0. I know you’re wondering why Alex Pereira only has 2 wins under his belt. He is a very new fighter however, I do not think that experience will matter as much. Alex Pereira throws punches extremely hard and with a lot of force which makes for a great action packed fight. This fight is straight up at -110 ML on both sides so this fight really is a 50/50 which is pretty uncommon in the UFC.
Alex Pereira does have some more physical advantages that he is three inches taller and has a superior reach by three inches as well. This fight also has more incentive in whoever wins, could have a really good shot at a title match against Adesanya if he keeps the title. With this on the line as well these two will be very motivated to go out and give it their all. Stricklands style of fighting is also very interesting that he does not play it laid back or more defensive he goes straight into his opponent something that might not work so well against Pereira. However, Sean Strickland has been playing like this his whole career and he’s been very effective. This fight could definitely go either way however, because of the superior hitting ability and force I do believe that Alex Pereira will win and get a shot at a title fight.
Featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway
Now onto the featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. This fight is very tough for me to bet on. Alexander Volkanovski is one of the best fighters in the UFC and has previously beaten Max Hollway twice already. However, Max Holloway has shown that he is a very capable opponent making it a very tough fight for their second match. The height advantage that Max Holloaway has over Alexander Volkanovski isn’t much of a factor because “The Great” still has a superior reach. All these factors make for an amazing third match and I do believe that Alexander Volkanovski will win, however, I am leaning towards the -190 ML on Alexander Volkanovski. My official bet is the over on rounds in this game because I do think that this will go the distance and the over is a great bet.
Now for the fight of the night Adesanya vs Cannonier for the middleweight title. Israel Adesanya has a record of 22-1 with a five inch height advantage and a superior reach by three inches. He is fighting Jared Cannonier who has a record of 15-5. Adesanya has beaten so many strong opponents compared to Cannonier. Adesanya UFC resume includes wins over Marvin Vettori twice, Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa. Adesanya has one loss in the UFC to Jan Blachowicz who has also beaten Jared Cannonier. I do believe that this fight will be a very easy one to cash money line wise. Israel Adesanya is a whopping -410 ML which is very rich for sports bettors who think Adesanya will win. Since taking this ML straight up is very unreasonable, my official bet would be Israel Adesanya method of victory by TKO/KO +240 which I think could be a great value based on Adesanya’s history.
