Golden Knights vs. Blues

The Vegas Golden Knights will travel to the Enterprise Center to take on the St. Louis Blues in a Western Conference matchup (7:00 PM ET, NHL Network). The Golden Knights will look to gain momentum from their huge 4-3 overtime win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on the road. Vegas has now won four of their last five games. Meanwhile, the Blues will look to do the same as they snapped their two-game losing streak on Thursday by beating the San Jose Sharks 4-2. St. Louis has lost three of their last five games.

This has to do with their success on the road. Vegas has been great this year on the road as they are 18-7-5 as the away team. Look to see if they can continue their dominance on the road when they travel to take on the Blues.

The Golden Knights have gotten production from two players this season offensively. They are the only two players on the team that have 50+ points on the season. The Golden Knights have been led by center Chandler Stephenson who has 51 points this season with 13 goals and 38 assists. They are also, led by their center Jack Eichel who has 50 points on the season with 23 goals and 27 assists. Their leading defenseman this season has been Alex Pietrangelo. The three goals scored in regulation by the Golden Knights were Keegan Kolesar, William Karlsson, and Chandler Stephenson. Alec Martinez was the hero in overtime netting the game winning goal.

Offensively, the Golden Knights are averaging 3.14 goals a game on the season. Defensively, Vegas has been allowing teams to score an average of 2.75 points a game on the season. Look to see if their offense can give the Blues trouble.

Blues Hockey

With an 28-31-5 record on the season, they sit in sixth in the Central Division and our in the bottom half of the Western Conference. What has held St. Louis back is that they have struggled at home this year as they are 14-14-4 in the Enterprise Center. Look to see if they can fix their home struggles and start a win streak against the Golden Knights.

The Blues have gotten production from a lot of their players this year. They have three players above 50 points on the season. St. Louis has been led by center Jordan Kyrou who has 57 points on the season with 26 goals and 31 assists. They have also been led by left winger Pavel Buchnevich who has 56 points on the season with 20 goals and 36 assists. Center Robert Thomas has had a great season for the Blues as he leads the team in assists this season with 39.

In their win against the Sharks at home, Thomas led the way finishing with 2 points in the game. Thomas had a goal and an assist. His goal was the dagger that made it a 4-2 game with under 5 minutes left. Goalie Jordan Binnington had a great game finishing with a .941 save percentage with 32 saves on 34 shots.

 Offensively, the Blues are averaging 3.03 points a game on the season. Defensively, St. Louis has been allowing teams to score an average of 3.66 points a game on the season. Look to see if they can capitalize in this game offensively against the Golden Knights defense.

I love the Golden Knights here. I think they come in and blow out the Blues in this game. Vegas is just the more experienced team. Finally, Vegas has been great on the road both straight up and ATS this season. I think the Golden Knights win 5-2 against the Blues.
