Stars vs. Kraken 

The Dallas Stars will travel to the Climate Pledge Arena to take on the Seattle Kraken in a Western Conference matchup (10:00 PM ET, NHLPP/ESPN+). The Stars will look add to their two-game winning streak in this game. On Saturday, the Stars just defeated the Kraken 4-3 in overtime. They have now won four of their last five games. Meanwhile, the Kraken will look to snap their two-game losing streak and look for revenge against the Stars after their devastating loss to them.

With an 36-17-13 record on the season, they sit in first in the Central Division and second in the Western Conference. The Stars are 6-3-1 in their last ten games. One reason why Dallas has been so good this season is their success on the road. They have been excellent this season on the road as they are 19-8-5 as the away team. Look to see if they can continue their dominance on the road when they travel to take on the Kraken.

The Stars have gotten production from a lot of their players this year. Dallas even has five players above 50 points on the season. The Stars have been led by their superstar right winger Jason Robertson who has 83 points this season with 38 goals and 45 assists. They are also, led by their center Roope Hintz who has 62 points on the season with 32 goals and 30 assists. You cannot forget about left winger Jamie Benn either who has 60 points on the season with 27 goals and 33 assists. Their leading defenseman this season has been Miro Heiskanen. Heiskanen has 51 points this season with 10 goals and 41 assists.

In their win against the Kraken, it was Heiskanen who netted in the game-winning goal for the Stars in overtime. He finished the game with two points as he also assisted on the game tying goal in regulation that sent them to overtime. Hintz also, had two points as he scored his 32nd goal of the season in the first period and assisted on Joe Pavelski’s game tying goal. Goalie Jake Oettinger finished with a .903 save percentage with 28 saves on 31 shots. He is now 28-9-10 in net this season. Dallas won despite getting killed in the stats sheet.

Offensively, the Stars are averaging 3.41 goals a game on the season. Defensively, Dallas has been allowing teams to score an average of 2.65 points a game on the season. Look to see if their offense can give the Kraken trouble.

Kraken Hockey

With an 37-22-7 record on the season, they sit in third in the Pacific Division and fifth in the Western Conference. The Kraken have been up and down this season at home as they are 16-13-4 in the Climate Pledge Arena. Look to see if they can fix their home struggles pickup a win against the Stars.

The Kraken have gotten production from their players this year. They have three players above 50 points on the season. Seattle has been led by defenseman Vince Dunn who has 53 points on the season with 12 goals and 41 assists. They have also been led by their right winger Jordan Eberle who has 52 points on the season with 15 goals and 37 assists.

In their loss against the Kraken at home, both Dunn and Eberle scored points in the game. Dunn got an assist on their first goal. Eberle scored the first goal of the game. Seattle just could not close out the game in regulation and get it done in overtime as they lost. Seattle outshot Dallas 31-25 and out hit the Stars 27-13.

Offensively, the Kraken are averaging 3.52 points a game on the season. Defensively, Seattle has been allowing teams to score an average of 3.15 points a game on the season. Look to see if they can fix their defensive troubles against a scary Stars offense.

I like Kraken in this one I think they get their revenge against the Stars. They are a very good offensive team. They just need to fix their defense and not allow so many goals. Seattle had Dallas on Saturday and let them score the game tying goal late in the third. I think they come back and win against the Stars. Seattle wins 5-3 against Dallas.
