Series tied at 2-2 

Game 3 was a must win for the Lightning, and that’s exactly how they treated it. It was nothing like the first two games of these Stanley Cup Finals, and made us all believe that the two time champions might have a shot at three in a row. Game 4 is Wednesday night at Amalie Arena, where the Lightning have won a franchise-record eight straight playoff games and Colorado lost on the road for the first time this postseason. Two nights after being limited to just 16 shots in the seven-goal loss in Denver, the Lightning found a way to neutralize Colorado’s speed and solve Kuemper to avoid falling to the brink of elimination.  

 

A trend to take note of in these finals has been the over of the goal total. It’s been set each game at either 5.5 or 6 goals for each of the first games including this game 4. Game four will be the most important game to this point so far, so both teams will be giving it their absolute all to get control of the series, so expect a low scoring game with plenty of blocks by both goalies.
