Perfect Matchup 

This matchup has been one seemingly etched in the playoff bracket since the season all but started as these two teams have been flip flopping standings spots for a while now. The Rangers will be looking to ride the momentum of a great season into the playoffs, and fare better than the last time they were in the playoffs when they were swept by the Hurricanes. 

The Rangers will win this game because they have had the best goalie in the league and by far. Shesterkin flourished in his first 82-game season, compiling a staggering .935 save percentage which is the third highest in NHL history among goaltenders with a minimum of 50 appearances. The Penguins’ No. 1 goalie Tristan Jarry reportedly broke his foot and is considered week-to-week, and are now left with Casey DeSmitj and Louis Dominguez. Harry is a huge loss as he was one of the top Goalies this season, giving the Rangers a massive Edge.
