Ok, let’s get to our Lightning vs Rangers Prediction.

Lightning to Turn Tide

The Tampa Bay Lightning are the current two time reigning champions of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs and are a mere eight wins away from making that a three peat and proving that lightning does strike three times. But first, they’re going to have to find a way to get out of this 1-0 hole that the Rangers have put them in. Game one was nothing like we would expect. The Rangers came out firing and scored the first goal just 71 seconds into their game, and never relinquished the lead, winning by a margin of four goals, with the final score of 6-2. A couple things factored into this victory. The first was at the Tampa bay Lightning hadn’t played playoff hockey in a total of nine games after sweeping the Florida panthers. The opposite can be said about the New York Rangers, who played only two nights ago in the huge game seven against the hurricane, where they won in a dominant fashion.

Game two is going to be a game in which the Lightning are going to have to come out and show that they are the more seasoned team who have been in the situation far more than the Rangers. Going back to the 2020 playoffs, the Lightning have not lost back to back games in any playoff series. Additionally, Andrei Vasilevsky, who we all know as arguably the best goalkeeper in hockey at the moment, had his worst game of the playoffs, allowing six goals which totals more than he’s allowed in the last five games altogether.

The Rangers have been a spectacular team, one playing at home in Madison Square Garden in New York. They’ve only lost one home game this entire playoffs, and that was back in the opening round against the Penguins. Although they are spectacular on home ice, expect the veteran Lightning to get the win here.

For our expert Tampa Bay Lightning versus New York Rangers prop prediction take the over on Andrei Vasilevsky shots blocked.
