Lightning Bounce Back
Game two of this series was once again a surprise. If you have been watching our videos about our game two parlays and pick predictions, you would be in the plus money. We told you to go big on the Under 5.5 of last game, but also to take the Lightning as we trusted that they would not lose two games to the Rangers. The Lightning let us down in game two, but it won’t happen again. The real story line has been that the crafty Lightning have basically been beaten at their own craftiness. Usually the Lightning are the team that understands that in one game they’ll need to score six goals to win, and they’ll get it done and in the other game, if they need to just hold the other team to two goals, they’ll get that one as well. And yet it has been the Rangers who have shown their prowess on both sides of the ice as they won the first game in an offensive display, and the second one and a defensive display.
This was the first time that the Lightning have lost back to back games in the past three playoffs, And you’d have to go back five playoffs appearances to find a point in which Tampa Bay has lost three games in a row. The Lightning did secure some late game momentum in game two behind a goal from Nick Paul on the assist from Corey Perry, which brought them to within one goal with two minutes left in the game. They must carry this momentum over into game three and capitalize on it in a way that they couldn’t in game 2.
