Conversely, the Anaheim Ducks have struggled to find the back of the net, and will continue to struggle against New York’s top-tier defense. The Islanders blew the Ducks out of the water in their first meeting, winning 7-1, and I fully expect Wednesday’s matchup to end in a similar result. Anaheim has allowed 86 more goals against than the Islanders, proving the Ducks defense is arguably the worst in the league, and New York will happily take advantage of their horrendous goaltending, as the Islanders continue to fight for their postseason lives.
