In this year’s 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Western Conference finals matchup, we have two teams that took opposite paths to get in here. We have the Colorado Avalanche on one side who many believed would get to this point as they finished as a one seed and are one of the most dominant teams in this season. And their opponent in this series will be the Edmonton Oilers, who many dismissed as a joke throughout the season and now as a five seed have made it four wins away from a Stanley Cup Finals berth.
Today we have a parlay for game 1 of this series. The Oilers don’t have much pressure in this series being that nobody expected them to still be here to this point of the playoffs, and that will show in game 1 as they will play loose. It will all depend on Edmonton’s goalie Mikko Koskinen who’s had a less than stellar campaign having a .865 save percentage in these playoffs. He must improve his game for the Oilers.
