Can Lightning Take First Step to Three Peat 

Tonight we have one of the most anticipated Stanley Cup Final matchups of all time. The Colorado Avalanche have been a dominant team not only in the regular season but also in the postseason, and they are matching up against the reigning two time champion, Tampa Bay Lightning, who weren’t as good as they were a year ago in the regular season, but now in the playoffs have found their championship gear earning a third straight trip to the Finals. The betting public is all over the Colorado Avalanche in this game, as 64% of all bets have been placed on them. But the books have the Avalanche becoming less favorites despite the heavy money being put on them. 

 

The Avalanche have won every game, one that they’ve played in these playoffs, and the Lightning, on the other hand, have lost two of their three. One of two possibilities will happen in this game. Either the Lightning will come out and win the game outright, or the Avalanche will win by a single goal.
