Avalanche Start Slow
The Colorado Avalanche have looked stellar in these playoffs, winning their first series against the Predators in four games, and following that up by beating the Saint Louis Blues in six. In each of these serieses, the Avalanche have started off with a win in game one, but the Oilers are a much better team than the two that they’ve already faced, so it’ll take a better effort if they want to leave game one up 1-0.
The Oilers past series was truly a surprise. Not only did the Calgary Flames enter this series as favorites over Edmonton, but the fact that the orders were able to put away the flames in merely five games truly was shocking. They were considered a joke early on in the season and have turned arounds completely to a serious Stanley Cup threat as a 5 seed. The Oilers will need a great series from Connor McDavid, per usual if they want to even push this series to 6 or 7 games. However, in game one, expect an Oilers team that is fresh off a series they shouldn’t have won and take that momentum into game 1.
For our expert Colorado Avalanche versus Edmonton Oilers prediction, take the Oilers puck line.
