Another High Scorer?
Not much has changed betting wise from game 1 to game 2 in this series. Game two between the two same teams with the two same goalies in the same arena, and with the lightning once again being the exact same -125 favorites and the over under once again at 5.5 goals. But will we have the same result? The short answer is no. The Lightning came out sluggish in game one and fell behind slightly over a minute into the matchup. Things only got worse for them as the game went on and the final score was 6-2.
The main reason for the Lightning’s blunder in game one was simply due to the fact that they had to wait nine whole days in order to play their next game, after sweeping the Florida Panthers. While that’s not an excuse, it is understandable. In Tampa Bay’s last 18 playoff defeats, they have followed it up by a victory going back to the 2020 playoffs.
