Game Prediction, Analysis and Breakdown
LAS VEGAS KNIGHTS VS. COLORADO AVALANCHE | NHL | HOCKEY PICKS AND PREDICTIONS
Tommy d with your second game prediction and free picks for Wednesday, June 2nd. The road to the 2021 NHL Stanley cup just got a little rockier for the Las Vegas knights. You get it? Rockier?? They’re playing the Colorado avalanche! They got absolutely tormented by number one seed Colorado in game 1 of their second-round nhl playoff series. As you know, covid restrictions caused the divisions to be mixed up this season, putting all of the Canadian teams together on their own. The west was completely lopsided with these two teams finishing 1 and 2 tied for most overall points with the Avs getting the tiebreaker. These are legitimately the 2 best teams in the nhl, certainly in the west, but based on this year’s changed format, they had to play each other this early. Let’s get down to the numbers…the avalanche has literally lost only one game in the whole month of May. They were excellent at home all season only losing. A total of 6 games on their own ice. The season meetings between the 2 were mostly split down the middle. The Knights won 3 of 7 against the Cavs, splitting the games in Colorado. There are a ton of question marks surrounding Game 2. Last game was completely insane and there are multiple injuries and suspensions on both teams. The game saw a combined 79 penalty minutes!!! 49 for the knights and 30 for the avalanche. Knights’ winger Janmark left the game with an injury and is questionable for Wednesday. The knight’s best defenseman Ryan Reaves, is suspended which is a massive blow. Max Pacioretty is also questionable facing a possible suspension from the league. On the avalanche, who were already dealing with injuries to players like francouz, will also be without Nasim Kadri to a 5 game suspension after he just lost his appeal. Graves will not be suspended and is now probable to play in game 2.
Last game was insane and the power plays and penalty minutes are proof of that. I assume both teams have been warned explicitly and will be better behaved for this one. The knights definitely got the short end of the stick and will likely give up a ton of goals to this avalanche team once again. Colorado is averaging 5 goals per game in the month of may…on defense they are ranked second overall giving up around 2 per game. The only team ranking above them in total defense is this knight’s team! But even with Reaves on the ice, they were clearly outmatched.
We see the current knights vs avalanche odds with Colorado favored at -180. Last game they were -200 so it’s a bit surprising it’s lower after a 7-1 performance.
The total is set at 5.5 goals. This is real low even with the 2 best defenses on the ice. The avalanche might score more than 5 by themselves yet again!
Game Prediction and Picks
My official law Vegas vs Colorado avalanche prediction is the avalanche take game 2 just like they did the first. The knights were hit even harder by suspensions and injuries and they were already the lesser team.
That being said, I don’t trust the puck line at avalanche -1.5 goals, and I don’t like paying chalk at such a hefty price. I’ll be staying off the avalanche as a straight play because it’s too expensive in such an intense rivalry.
I do have 2 plays circled for this game and here they are! My knights vs avalanche picks and parlay are….the game total over 5.5 goals. And the avalanche team total over 3 goals!
They scored at least 4 in every single playoff game so far and they don’t look like they’re satisfied letting up on their arch-nemesis out of the west. If you want to parlay 2 plays. Take the game total over with the avalanche money line. It will still come out to a plus money payout.
That’s all I got for today. Go to onlinesportsbet.com if you want more! I’m Tommy D and I’ll see ya tomorrow.
